With spring in the air, my thoughts start turning to gardening. I found these fabulous hand-carved marble garden dogs that would dress up any garden–whether in the city or the country. They’re from the Hudson River Valley, circa 1880s. Check them out at The Finnegan Gallery.

I love taking functional objects and turning them into artwork. This antique printer drawer is a perfect example. I’d collect several and mount them together on a wall to create a look that straddles antique and modern. These tend to be really affordable. You can find several at Antique Mystique.

I do love a wooden sink and you don’t often find one with this much character. This one is made of walnut and is most definitely hand carved. It is 21 1/2″ long x 11″ wide x 6 1/2″ high. Check it out at Antiques at Hillwood Farms.
