I’m a big fan of two-tiered tables because they have such interesting profiles.  This late 19th century table with branded casting at the base is a perfect example.

These lamps are a great example of one of my favorite aesthetics–industrial utility object paired with an elegant shade.  I love the juxtaposition between the two and think these look fantastic in pairs.

There’s a nice piece on NY Inc about the Signature Residences designed by myself and Celerie Kemble.

Australian designer and blogger Anna Spiro featured one of her own designs on her blog, Absolutely Beautiful Things.  It’s what she calls a Max side table and I think it’s very cool and has a great design.  And what a fantastic color!

This is a vintage desk from the 1940s and I’m not sure which I like more–the simple, elegant design or the really great patina that has come with age.  It comes from an artist’s workshop and has a single drawer.

These chairs are a great complement to the ones I posted yesterday.  With this pair of chairs, the wood grain is absolutely integral to the design.  It highlights their spare simplicity and form.  Once again, I can see these working in a modern setting as well as in a rustic one.

I really love these blue 20th Century Windsor chairs.  The color really makes them unique and more versatile than a traditional wood grain.  I can as easily envision them in a modern setting as in a more traditional one.

I really love antique utility objects because their form and function are inseparable.  This antique cranberry rake is a perfect example.  Made for scooping cranberries out of a bog, it stands alone beautifully as an art object.

Talk about one of a kind! This vintage open sided terrarium is so original and fabulous that it could work equally well in a historic or modern setting.  I love its laboratory quality and can imagine it filled with a great assortment of plants, mosses, maybe even orchids.

And so do I!  I really enjoyed this piece about one of my favorite pieces of furniture.  And Greige is one of my favorite design sites with lots of great finds.
