Just a quick shout out to Modern Destiny, which had really nice things to say about my designs for my beach house.  Modern Destiny is a really great site with lots of fun content about design and fashion.

What a cool dining table!  I love the way the industrial metal base is juxtaposed against the dark oak table top.  Has anyone else seen a tilt top table like this?  Let me know in the Comments if you have.

This is truly a handsome pair of chairs that would look perfect in a study or as part of  seating area in a bedroom.  They’re from the early 1900s and would look fantastic with anything from the Arts & Crafts era.

Check out this great post that was featured on the blog You Have Been Here Sometime.  This is a really thoughtful design blog, and in this post, they compared one of my philosophies to Sol Lewitt’s.  Great company to be in!

Now here’s a collection I can recommend.  These fruit dryers would look fantastic mounted together on a wall.  The simple shapes, that are really based on utility, give them a great graphic visual appeal.  If you don’t already collect these, what better place to start?

Andirons are a great way to add a splash of personality to any room with a fireplace.  I’m particularly fond of andirons with bold geometric shapes like these early 20th Century French andirons.

Although this mid-century Danish rosewood mirror looks relatively simple, you can see by the craftsmanship that it is really a work of art.  Its round shape makes it vaguely nautical but the sharp edges give it a more timeless feel that could work in a variety of settings.

Luxist is now part of Stylist, so one of my favorite design sites has a new home.  Here’s a piece they did on my designs for the Manhattan House Signature Residences.

This sculptural table with a labrodorite top by Phillipe Hiquily is just plain fabulous.  Hiquily is a French artist whose works are really more sculpture than furniture.

I would use this mid-century swim basket/gym locker system to store things, whether they’re utilitarian like gardening supplies, or something more urbane like table napkins and settings.  Its function defines its form, which is what makes it so appealing and unpretentious, yet in the right setting, it could make a pretty bold statement.
